Lee, the Learner

This portfolio is meant to show my growth as a mentor, learner, and person. This package of materials is bound together with the ultimate goal of demonstrating not only how I have experienced writing and life (if the two are not synonymous) but how I have come to value learning processes and the individual’s journey through education. Yes, there are strategies one can study and master, but it comes down to, fundamentally, understanding the person in front of you as a unique learner and understanding the material in a way that allows you to use it to help that person grow. My focus has grown over time, and through the dedication to the work on display in this portfolio, to be on the learner who feels like they may be getting left behind, because that is simply a classic and unfortunately regular case of the curriculum not fitting the student's mold. My goal is to convey the learning processes I have undergone, and hopefully can adapt to the individuals I teach learnings'.
